Concerning this situation, Conservative Party MP Erin O’toole called on the government to implement five common sense measures that will help our country beat this virus:

1. Mandatory 14 day self-isolation for anyone entering the country.
2. No flights from Europe except for Canadians coming home
3. Crack down on those taking advantage of their fellow Canadians through price-gouging
4. Mobilize the private sector TODAY to meet expected shortages of ventilators and protective equipment
5. Ensure that all government agencies are giving Canadians accurate information and updating it regularly
