政府研發牌規管新聞 Liberal government is planning to license the news reporting platform
自由黨政府計劃立例發牌規管新聞發布平台，由網站以至社交媒體均須有相關牌照才可發布新聞。以下推特轉載CTV片段，當記者問及政府將如何規管、是否所有網站均須註冊時，文物部長喬博（Steven Guilbeault）表示，我們會問該些機構有否牌照。
Liberal government is planning to license the news reporting platform including website and social media. Any website without the license do not have the right to speak out the news. The following twitter shows that Minister of Canadian Heritage Steven Guilbeault answered CTV a question in 2nd Feb 2020. The news reporter ask him “How would this work? How would you going to regulate website? How would you going to register all that? Are you buy all these recommendations?” and Steven Guilbeault answered “We would ask that they have a license. Yes.”
