港政治檢控有望獲關注 HK’s political persecution may be concerned by the House
據Hong Kong Watch社交媒體帖文表示，加國國會議員兼影子政府加中關係部長曾彌斯（Garnett Genuis）以及Hong Kong Watch贊助人透露，加中關係委員會 Canada-China Relations committee（CACN）通過一項動議：「對香港人黎智英、李卓人、楊森三人被捕一事，表示深切關注」，此項動議已向國會提交。
Garnett Genuis MP, the Shadow Minister for Canada-China Relations and a Patron of Hong Kong Watch informed Hong Kong Watch that the Canada-China Relations committee just passed a motion: “That this Committee express its grave concern over the arrest of Jimmy Lai, Lee Cheuk-yan, and Yeung Sum in Hong Kong, and report this motion to the House.”
在聖灰禮儀日，他與Hong Kong Watch聯合創辦人Aileen Calverley會面，並表示他會爭取加拿大在支持香港民主一事上採取更強硬姿態。Hong Kong Watch將向加中關係委員會提交有關香港的建議。
On Ash Wednesday, he met with Hong Kong Watch Co-founder Aileen Calverley and would fight for Canada to play a stronger role promoting democracy in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Watch will submit recommendations on Hong Kong to the special committee for Canada-China Relations.
就在香港之政治檢控，Hong Kong Watch日前曾刊出文章《Benedict Rogers: The World Must Respond to Hong Kong’s Latest Politicized Arrests》，提醒國際社會對香港指出香港自由被侵蝕不容忽視。
For the political persecution in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Watch published the article ” Benedict Rogers: The World Must Respond to Hong Kong’s Latest Politicized Arrests ” few days ago. The article pointed out that the world can no longer turn a blind eye to the erosion of Hong Kong’s freedoms.
